Active Hunting on Okondura

The Okondura farm has been utilized as a hunting farm for four generations by the Liedtke family and has had many satisfied guest hunters.

We believe that when you take care of nature, it will take care of you. Our main method of hunting is the walk and stalk, providing hunters with a very gratifying experience.

The hunt generally starts in the early hours of the morning or the late afternoon. In order to cover the long distances, we head out to the hunting grounds by vehicle. We often first stop at one of the mountains or hills to survey the landscape. This may require some level of fitness.

Once a target has been spotted, the stalking begins and the hunt is on.

PREPARING FOR THE HUNT

During your hunt, you will face a variety of different terrains; hills, bush thickets and open grasslands. Therefore, we recommend the appropriate, lightweight, equipment and attire. Once you are within shooting range of your prey, your professional hunting guide will give you the go-ahead to take your aim. Shooting is generally done by using the rifle shooting stick or from a stabilizer. We would advise training different shooting stances before your departure in order to avoid missing your shot. Our well-trained dogs are the ideal companions to track any wounded or dead animals.

If all goes well, you will have the satisfaction of departing with a well-deserved trophy.

P.S. If hunting on foot is not a possibility, we can always accommodate you with a stationary hunt, or the thrill of hunting a warthog at the watering holes.

Everything we do is to ensure that you are in good hands!
